RIP Snuggley Bear (aka Dee Dee)

This week we went for a walk and to a friends house. When Brynn got into the stroller she had snuggley, aka Dee Dee. That is the last I remember of him. My friend has searched her house with no luck and we walked back to our car on the same route and didn't find him. Brynn has actual handled it pretty well. The first day I gave her a pink snuggley that is Leah's and made a big deal out of Leah sharing it with her. The second day she begged me for her "white dee dee." So I decided to make a big deal out of going to a store and letting her pick out a new snuggley. The store had every color under the sun. Brynn wanted a white one. Since buyer her a new white dee dee she hasn't been bothered at all. She keeps saying "Dee Dee is clean!" Like she thinks I just washed her old one!

I on the other hand am having a hard time with this. Snuggley has been with Brynn since she was a few months old. Snuggley has comforted her through EVERYTHING. Snuggley has helped her go to sleep. Snuggley has helped her feel better when she is hurt. Snuggley has made her smile when she is sad. Snuggley was going to be one of those keepsakes that would be soooo precious to me...and Brynn! The past 2 nights I have woken up wondering where he could possibly be. I know that this is so ridiculous and I must now move on and except that we have a new Dee Dee! This new Dee Dee has some big shoes to fill!!!

(In searching for a picture of old Dee Dee I have realized that he did not make many pictures...we must always take him out of her hands to take pictures!)

I'm Back!!!

Well we've had a long winter and a broken computer...these are my xcuses as to why I haven't updated in sooooo long! I have my computer back and working and a camera FULL of adorable pics. I'm looking for an easier way to share pics because this site takes forever to upload pics...stay tuned!



Leah is now 7 months! She is eating everything and anything I let her have and taking atleast one bottle a day. She is getting into a nap schedule which is trapping me a bit at home. She likes to sleep from 9:30ish to 12ish. Then Brynn sleeps from 1ish to 3ish and Leah goes back down around 2:30 ish. So I feel like I always have a sleeping kid. Leah is sitting up on her own for a bit but shows no signs of crawling or moving anytime soon...another butt scooter maybe??? She thinks Brynn is hilarious and loves to pull Brynnie's hair. Brynn is such a sweet sister. When Leah pulls her hair she says "No pulling hair Leah!" She doesn't get mad...yet. Brynn loves to get Leah her toys to play with and always helps me feed her and change her diaper. She is such a little mommy. Brynn is counting to 13...that's how many stairs we have and can pretty much say her ABC's...a few letters get a little mixed up or jumbled togther...LMNO is one letter. She loves to read but is going a bit crazy sitting inside, as am I. She loves to look out the window and beg me to go outside or atleast to go in "momma's car." I think she is begging me to get out of this house!!! I don't blame her.

We are so excited to see the sun a bit and see some grass trying to grow. I hope to update this site more often or atleast to find a new way to share pics more often!

Potty time!

This picture cracks me up!! It is a classic "learning to use the potty" picture! She has all of the necessities...chap stick and a drink!


The past week or so Brynn has decided that she does not want to wear diapers. On Monday she said "No diaper." I decided that I should take this cue from her and try the whole "potty" thing. I put her big girl Dora underwear on her and pulled the potty out. We brought her baby doll in and had the doll pull down her underwear and sit on the potty. Then we clapped and said yay baby peed on the potty. Brynn thought it was pretty funny. I set the timer to remind myself to ask her to go pee every 15-30 min. I also told her she would get a M&M if she peed on the potty. She sat on the potty but wouldn't pee and didn't seem very interested in getting a M&M. So I told her she could get a piece of gum if she peed in the potty. Once I said that she got up sat on the potty and peed! She then immediately said "Gum, gum!" She only had one accident on Monday and one on Tuesday as well! I can't believe I'm getting my 2 year to pee on the potty with GUM! What ever works...Today she has done even better and pooped on the potty. Too much info but I'm sure all the moms reading this really appreciate this info...sorry dads! So she is doing very good and I'm going to go with the flow. If she starts to have more accidents or becomes not so interested in it anymore I'll stop...BUT for now she is peeing and pooping on the potty. It can't possibly be this easy, can it??

We had a great X-mas! The girls and I spent X-mas eve at Uncle Matt's and Aunt Tory's house and then we all went over to the neighbors house for awhile right before bedtime. Brynn was exhausted so we didn't do the whole cookies and milk for Santa bit...sorry Santa! When we brought Brynn down stairs in the morning she saw the easel and was excited. Sean told her that Santa brought it for her and she said "Tank you Santa!" It was so cute! We (well Sean and Brynn) made breakfast after opening our stockings and then opened present, after present, after present! At about noon Brynn had enough and she took a nap. When she woke up she opened the rest of them and we had a yummy chicken dinner! Brynn sure got spoiled but it s so nice to have a bunch of new toys to entertain her! Leah had her usual routine of eating and sleeping and enjoyed the day too I'm sure!
